June 1st: Wolverhampton 6f Auction	Made a lowish price at the Doncaster St Leger sales. Sire has good record with 2yos and regularly gets examples of precocious 5-6f winners. He has made a moderate start to 2005 with only one 5f winner. Dam showed 70ish rated placed form at 3yo and has produced 3 poor to moderate sprint 2yos. Fourth runner of the season for the trainer and notably late and usually has a batch of April debuts. Notable for having the runners competent and very close to their best rating on debut. The 3 winners in 2004 were amongst the batch of the earliest (April) debuts. Runners tend not to progress but run to a consistent level. In previous seasons has had difficulty converting placed runners into winners. In 2004 managed to win three weaker early season races but three other placed runners did not win. First runner to showed placed form on debut finished a volunteer 2nd at Newcastle earlier in the day at long SP. In summary ought to be a competent debut but likely to be limited to 55-64 rating at best. Profile [54 + 4 = 58]
