Racing Summary
DATE PROFILE/COMMENTS
March 19th: Entered for -
Lingfield 5f (AW)
Conditions Race (D1)
  • Retained at sales for a relatively cheap price for the TO2 sales.
  • By a first season sire with a mixed pedigree that showed 2yo form over 6f. Sire made a moderate impression with yearlings and many were small although often with better builds.
  • First foal of a moderate dam that ran only once over 7f and not obviously helpful for 5f early.
  • Trainer gets 2yos ready and professional on debut and better ones can win. Normally enters runners in suitable races but this one an owner bred filly and may be looking for an east "stakes placed" for the sales catalogue.
  • Trainer has entered two so possibly increasing his chances of getting a runner through the lottery.
  • In summary likely to be professional on debut but pedigree doubts over 5f early effectiveness. Profile [51]
  • March 20th: Post race
  • One of two trainer runners and ridden by A. Daly who probably rides for the owner breeder. 14/1 compared to 12/1 for Par Excellence.
  • Given attacking ride from draw 3 and led after 1f until straight. Poor fade final 1f.
  • Not quite fit enough on debut but looked a limited physical type and 50s rating type. May struggle to win and probably kept to AW and minor races. Unlikely to run in Brocklesby for example. Estimate [40]
  • March 29th: Declared for
    Warwick 5f Mf (5)
  • Trainer has had a poor start to the season with three runners so far and none competitive. Presume he's keeping his better types for Doncaster?
  • The other filly that ran in the Lingfield race for this trainer was well beaten at Kempton showing only minor improvement.
  • Trainer has a moderate record in the race.
  • Runs 10 days after Lingfield and no reason the expect more than minor improvement.  Profile [48]
  • March 29th:
    Warwick  POST RACE
  • 12/1 despite previous experience and prominent on outside throughout and faded with the group to a remote third probably rating similarly to her debut.
  • Seems exposed as 50s at best and needs to improve to get to that level. In spite of the place another poor run for the trainer in 2005. Estimate [40]
  • April 1st: Declared
    for Lingfield 5f Auction
  • Runs only 3 days after a moderate second run and not improving.
  • Trainer entered two and runs this one rather than the colt Dusty Devil who is owned by the same person who owned Dusty Dazzler with whom he won the race in 2002.
  • Switches back to AW but no reason to expect improvement. Profile [40]
