June 10th: Sandown
5f Maiden |
Made a middling price at the Doncaster breeze up sales and a reasonable
increase from the yearling price in Ireland.
By a good sire with a notably good 2yo winner to runner record. Sire get
winners at range of distances but solid record at 5-6f and can also get
early runners.
He has already had three good 5f winners and a good 6f debut winner 2 days
ago.
Dam unraced.
New trainer in 2003 has had very few 2yo runners and most have been cheap
buys or claimed from other trainers. None of the three 2004 runners showed
worthwhile form so his strategy with debut runners is unknown.
He has had one debut runner in 2005 with a more 'expensive' sales purchase
who was very inexperienced and soon adrift in a tough 6f Listed race.
In summary a reasonable 2yo pedigree and the sire is a positive. Trainer's
debut performance difficult to asses. Profile [60]
