  • Retained for poor price at the sales.
  • Sire has only had three 2yo runners in Britain in 2002-4 and although most showed acceptable form in respect of this type of race they all needed 7f+.
  • Dam was a moderate quality 7-10f winner and ran until 8yo.
  • Small trainer had his first two 2yo runners in 2004. These both made late May debuts and were professional and close to their best ratings FTO.
  • The trainer has had two debut runners in 2005 with the better type finishing a good 3rd at 66/1 (giving weight to the first two) and very similar to his 2004 debuts. The moderate type (similar to this one) was unplaced in a claimer.
  • In summary a non 5f pedigree and sales price promises a poor to moderate type. Trainer gets his better types ready to compete to win on debut but cant produce ability that isn't there. Profile [30 + 5 = 35]

  • Ran an interesting debut in a moderate race at Redcar on GF at 16/1. Broke ok and settled just behind midfield in a race with a solid pace. Just over two lengths off the pacemakers at halfway and travelled well. Had to switch right to find a gap to get past the stalled runners at 1 furlong from home and showed a slight change of pace to go through the gap and close on the leader. Gave the impression she would have little problem winning a similar race.  Estimate [57]
  • Produced a likeable run on debut in a low level race. The sixth from that race has been beaten in a claimer and the third ran at Carlisle yesterday. Steps up up class and trainer's debut runners tend to be well forward on debut. Would be interesting to see how she performed if this was a slow race and turned into a '2f sprint'. Profile [65 + 3 =68]
