June 8th: Newbury
6f Fillies' Auction |
Made a solid price at the Doncaster St Leger sales and topweight in this
Auction race.
Good Sire gets wins at all distances and an ok record at 5-6f. He had his
first winner of the season with a debut runner in a very muddling and draw
affected 5f race last week.
Dam showed moderate form over 6f in two seasons of racing and has produced
two similarly limited 2yos.
Major trainer does not target strong debuts for the most part and strong
debuts and wins are pretty sure signs of useful+ 2yos. He has had 1 win
)placed in a Listed race STO) and 5 places from 14 debuts so far. Two of
the placed runners have placed in Listed races since to further make the
point that only the better runners normally place.
In summary just a so-so pedigree but with the sire a plus and the sales
price better than the dam's previous yearlings. Would need to be Listed
class to compete to win of topweight. Profile [60]
