Made a solid price at the Doncaster St Leger sales. The trainer has bought
and raced the two previous foals from the dam.
Reviewed at the sales - rated 65. Below medium size but just above average
build. Lengthy for size with ok range but movement behind not quite right.
Rating could be higher if that has improved.
By First Season Sire who made early 5f debut as a 2yo and developed through
the season at 6f. Made moderate to average impression at sales.
Sire has had seven poor to moderate runners so far and one slightly
more promising type, all have looked small although most with reasonable
builds. His cheaper sales buys have competed poorly and he needs the more
expensive examples (this one just in that range) to compete better from
now on.
Trainer has below average record overall with average 2yos and most wins
have been with the useful 2yos he has trained.
Debuts tend to be close to best rating although earliest debuts can be
more inexperienced. Has had five runners in 2005 two of which have placed
in poor to moderate races on debut (one showed no improvement STO).
Trainer had a FTO win with a half sister in a weak April Windsor race (rating
in the 50s). The other sibling made an unrated August debut and improved
to be better through a long 3yo season.
In summary ought to be a 60s rater at least and some chance to improve
further. Ought to be able to rate higher than his half sister on later
debut. Profile [63]
