Racing Summary
DATE PROFILE/COMMENTS
June 11th: Leicester
6f Maiden Fillies'
  • Retained for a high bid level at the Tattersalls Part 1 sales.
  • Reviewed at the sales and rated 73 with an above average chance of being a 2yo winner. Smallish but with a heavy build for the size. Slightly lengthy and deep through, neat overall. Declared as a box-walker (a stall vice just as it sounds) which can put some purchasers off.
  • By a very good sire with an excellent record with 2yos, both in terms of winners and overall quality. Gets winners at 5-7f from June onwards.
  • Dam quite well related and unraced.
  • Major trainer does not target strong debuts for the most part and strong debuts and wins are pretty sure signs of useful+ 2yos. He has had 1 win and 6 places from 14 debuts in 2005.
  • In summary a good pedigree and an acceptable physical review at the sales although not suggesting she's superior. Profile [58]
  • July 8th: Lingfield AW
    6f Maiden Fillies'
  • 28/1 and ridden by a 3lb apprentice at Leicester. Lost a little ground at the break and raced in the centre of the track in a race which developed down the stands' rail. Showed some inexperience and driven along early in the race. Never competitive and finished 10th. Estimate [30]
  • July 30th: 7th of 19 in a moderate to average Newbury 6f maiden fillies'. 33/1 and again apprentice ridden. Paddock reviewed and still below average size but has lost some build and just average in that are. Looked a slightly unathletic mover behind. Has not progressed well from the sales on this evidence. Muddling race with a strong pace spreading the field out (they also spread wide across the track) and not racing as a group. Used her experience to settle 3rd just a neck off the 2nd but 6L+ off the tearaway leader. Faded from 2f out but only dropped to 7th despite being beaten 13L with long gaps between the placed horses and many moderate types never getting into the race. Estimate [24]
  • Trainer runs two in this race with J. Fortune riding Ms Rainbow Runner and N Callan rides this one suggesting she's the second string.  Profile [50]
