  • Made a solid price at the Doncaster St Leger sales. The previous foals have been raced by the owner breeder at 2yo and sold off at the Horses In Training sales to race abroad.
  • Veteran sire has a consistent and average record with 2yos. Gets wins at all distances and from early in the season. Ok for debut wins.  He has had two poor debut runners in 2005. 
  • Dam quite expensive at the sales given her average pedigre but showed poor form in 5 runs at 2yo. He first two foals showed average winning form at 6f at 2yo but in the last 5 years she has produced two poor/moderate fillies who were sold on and won abroad in minor European racing nations.
  • NH trainer had his first 2yos in 2004 with the variety of expensive horses purchased by G. Wylie. He made good use of these. The earliest debuts included the better runners and two FTO winners.
  • His first debut in 2005 put up a strong placed performance at 4/1 and won well STO. The second debut was well beaten at 18/1 and the third backed at 9/4 and 3rd in a Novice race (and finished 2nd in the Coventry at 66/1). The next two were well beaten at 28/1 and a drifting 20/1. 
  • He then had a good type win FTO at Hamilton at 9/2 followed by midfield debut at 9/1 in a race lacking any depth.
  • In summary just an average pedigree and might produce a 70ish rated sprint 2yo if the dam is back on form. The sales price suggests a solid physical type. On the positive side the trainer has used the course to introduce better 2yos for the most part. The market is likely to be a good indicator of performance. Profile [58]
