May 24th: Lingfield 5f Aw Maiden - DIV II	Made a middling price at the Doncaster St Leger sales. Reviewed at the sales rated 74 and above average chance of being a 2yo winner. Medium size and above average build. Neat ready type. Medium sprinter with echoes of Danehill shortish/heavy type. By First Season Sire that won over 6f in first half of its 2yo season. Sire made good impression at sales and likely to get some early sprint winners. The sire has has made a solid start with two 5f winners in slow races early on. He has a number of moderate types make their debuts since and one of the early debut runners returned to win a maiden at Chester last week. He then had a STO 5f Novice winner last week. Dam has produced minor winners abroad. The trainer does not strongly target 2yo racing and has a moderate to average record. Until 2003 debut runs tended to be competent and within 10lbs of final rating. 2yos would improve on STO and then show little progress and overall an unpredictable rating series. In 2004 he seemed to have his runners readier on debut and assisted by some better types got two FTO wins and a second place. The runners showed the same variation in ratings after the highest level had been reached. He has had one moderate debut and one solid 5th in a big field in 2005. June 10th: Sandown 5f Maiden	20/1 on debut and quite inexperienced. Outpaced early and adrift of the leaders by halfway. Estimate [33] No promise on debut and looks unlikely he has fulfilled the slaes promise. Check for improvement here. Estimate [52]
