June 3rd: Goodwood 6f Maiden	Made a middling price at the Goffs sales. Veteran sire has an average and very consistent record with his British raced 2yos in recent seasons, getting 2-4 winners from around 12 runners. Ok for 6f wins from May onwards. His only runner so far in 2005 won over 6f STO after a quiet 5f debut. Dam a Listed 7f winner in France has produced one poor 2yo runner who made a similar sales price. The trainer does not strongly target 2yo racing and has a moderate to average record. Until 2003 debut runs tended to be competent and within 10lbs of final rating. 2yos would improve on STO and then show little progress and overall an unpredictable rating series. In 2004 he seemed to have his runners readier on debut and assisted by some better types got two FTO wins and a second place. The runners showed the same variation in ratings after the highest level had been reached. His first three debuts in 2005 have been Unplaced although one showed some ability to be 5th in a big field Windsor maiden. In summary likely to be a moderate to average type at best and unlikely to be the better type that can show up well on debut for the trainer. Profile [57]
