6f Fillies' Maiden |
Made a good price at theTattersalls Part 1 sales.
Reviewed at the sales and rated 68 with an above average chance of being
a 2yo winner at her level. Smallish and a little compact with heavy build
and strong for her size.
Sire has below average record with 2yos after his Hamdam Al Maktoum supported
first season in 2001. Gets odd 5f winner but runners tend to need 6f+.
Runners tend to be better from mid-season onwards.
Sire has had 7 moderate runners in 2005.
Older dam was a sprint winner in Ireland at 3yo. She has produced four
7-9f winners including two useful ones to the notably stout sire Ela-Mana-Mou.
Trainer is notable as a 'Show FTO or nothing' type of trainer. He usually
has his debut runners fit, professional and ready to perform to a high
level within their ability and if they do not place, then they are probably
moderate.
He has had five debuts in 2005 with one win, one place and three unplaced
(two well supported for Maktoum family and run poorly). The SP has not
been a good indicator of what is expected.
The trainer has not had a runner at the course in the last two seasons.
Why start this one here?
In summary looked an ok type to rate 65-75 at the sales but not worth 85k
on 2yo potential. Trainer's debuts have been mixed so far and the SP has
been a poor indicator of performance. Profile [64]
