May 17th: Redcar
6f Maiden Fillies' |
Made a lowish price at the Tattersalls part 2 sales.
Reviewed at the sales and rated 69. Smallish and with just an average build.
She was lengthy with a deep but narrow front. She looked to have scope
to develop but the rating was seen as close to her best real rating.
By second season sire who made a good start with 2yos in 2004 with a solid
number of winners and notable for some good quality types. Got 6f winners
and runners tended to be better from May onwards.
Dam has a 6f+ pedigree and unraced. Her own dam was a solid sprinter but
has been a little disappointing at stud.
Trainer has good record with 2yos but targets STO wins and debuts normally
competent while leaving room for good improvement STO.
He used only to get debut winners with runners in Italy. However in 2003-4
he had 5 debut winners although some of those seemed to be 'accidents'
whereby the natural competence of his debut runners was enough to win weak
races.
This is is fifth debut of the season after a break from three early debuts.
One of the early debuts won a weak race on debut and another won STO. The
latest debut last week drifted from 7/1 to 11/1 but was able to win a moderate
race with just a competent FTO run.
In summary she ought to be able to rate around 70 over 6-7f and competent
on debut. Profile [62]
