Made a solid price at the Doncaster St Leger sales and a increase from
the foal level.
By second season sire that made a very good impression in 2004 with a good
set of sprint 2yos, including early winners. Ok for 6f but a slightly better
record in 2004 at 5f.
He has had two 5f winners already in 2005.
Dam showed moderate form in France and related to minor winners.
Trainer used to be assistant to R Hannon and is developing his own style
since he started in 2001. He tends not to target strong debuts except with
particular runners. These tend to lead to shorter SPs (8/1 or less compared
to 10/1+ normally).
He has had five poor to moderate debuts in 2005 and has not really got
going with the 2yos. The few STO runs have not shown improvement.
His runner in this race has finished last in 2003-4. He runs three on debut
this year with D Sweeney on this one, G Baker on African Concerto &
A McCarthy on Vehari.
In summary a pedigree that could produce a minor winner but likely to need
the debut to develop for. Trainer tends to develop these types to handicaps.
