Racing Summary
DATE PROFILE/COMMENTS
May 7th: Beverley
5f Maiden
  • Made lowish price at Doncaster St Leger sales and at around the average level for her dam's foals.
  • Rated 63 at the sales and with an above average chance of being competitive at her level. Medium size and build although relatively short and narrow. Her dark colouring makes her look better.
  • Third season sire made average start with his 2yos in 2003 but had a poor season with less runners and quality in 2004. He only ever won a 6f himself and his better types in 2003 were 6f winners. His only winner at 5f has been in a seller on an uphill course. He has not had a winner in 2005 to date.
  • Older dam won at up to 2 miles after not racing at 2yo. She has produced 3 minor winners who have won from 5f to 16f although all a moderate ratings.
  • Trainer does not target FTO wins and has had three STO winners this season. 2yos capable of winning usually rate 50+ on debut.
  • Trainer runs two in the race and this one is better drawn.
  • In summary might make a 60s rated 2yo probably over 6f and might be prominent here from a good draw in 10 of 14. Profile [48 + 5 =53]
  • June 1st: Beverley
    5f Listed Fillies
  • Drifted to 20/1 from 10/1 on debut but still preferred to trainer's other runner - Korolieva - at 33/1. Race featured a strong pace on softening ground and three of the first four places were from runners coming from off the pace up the centre of the course. She broke well and settled midfield off the pace. Driven & a little outpaced but then started to make some progress towards the leaders after halfway and best placed of the 'closers' as the leaders stalled at the furlong pole.  Kept on to a clear win.
  • Looked and ok size but slightly narrow. Estimate [41]
  • Debut win was a little under-rated and the 3rd & 5th have won minor races since. Acceptable draw in 8 but will probably need to show more pace because she is drawn near a number of front runners.  Profile [74 + 3 = 77]
  • June 17th: York
    6f Fillies' Group 3
  • Some support at 10/1 at Beverley in a race run on rain softened ground with a good pace and the field split into two groups. Driven after 1.5F and got behind again. More than 5L off the pace at halfway and hard ridden. Kept on through the faders to a volunteer third.  Estimate [74]
  • Unlikely to have the pace to be involved in the 6f here on a flat, fasr track.  Profile [74]
