Made acceptable price at the Tattersalls Ireland sales, much higher than
the dam's previous two yearlings.
Sire won over 6f to 8.5f and was a 6f debut winner at 2yo in the UK on
May 18th. Won on dirt in UAE and US later. Has had few 2yo runners in the
UK and one winner.
Dam was a moderate sprinter and has produced two relatively precocious
5f 2yos rating in the late 60s.
The trainer does not target debut wins and only the useful+ types tend
to win FTO. As a general rule his average runners improve around 12-16lb
from debut. Therefore a horse capable of rating around 100 will rate around
80 on debut for example. This approach means that only the runners capable
of 85+ rating in the season are likely to win on debut.
He has made a slow start to 2005 has had his first runners in the last
ten days with expensive runners for Sheikh Mohammed's sun. He has not yet
produced the normal competitive early 2yo types and this would seem a classic
profile for a runner of that type.
In summary a solid pedigree for a 70+ earlyish sprint 2yo winner. Trainer
does not target FTO wins although earliest '2yo' type debuts often
place an occasionally win. This is a slightly later start to his debuts

Slightly different type in a group of mainly small, heavier, early sprinters.
Slightly more size although still with a solid build. A ready, neat type
and notably mature, especially in front. Not a lot of scope but a likeable
type that ought to be able to rate 70-75 in early to mid season although
probably better for 6f than a 'pure speed' 5f. Rated 74.
Trainer has made a slow start to the season and his first two debut runs
have been poor. He is usually a very organised and consistent trainer and
the record so far suggests a possible problem - something to bear in mind
in the short term.
She looked an absolutely standard early type that he chooses carefully.
A likeable type that ought to be able to rate just over 70 in early to
mid-season but without great scope.
She drifted slightly from 12/1 to 14/1 and ran a just about acceptable
debut. Close up early and moving forward on the rail to press the pacemaker
at halfway. She stalled from before one furlong out and slightly faded
late. An acceptable debut and should be able to reach he expected rating

Made a just about acceptable debut by trainer standards in a muddling Leicester
race. The subsequent performances of the winner (won a very slow race at
the Curragh this week) and the 4th have suggested that race was under-rated.
The trainer has made a slow start to the season and has only run two for
Sheikh Mohammed's son other than this one. They have both performed moderately,
However, he's a very reliable trainer and chooses his early debut runners
well.
Given the trainer's record and the paddock review she appeals as being
able to reach 70+ here and a strong contender. Profile [72]

5f Maiden Fillies' |
100/30 from 4/1 at Nottingham. Pressed the pacemaker by a neck at halfway.
Quickened the pace with winner at halfway and pulled 3L clear of others
& just held by short head. Estimate [68]
Showed good improvement LTO to pull clear of moderate newcomers. Kept on
well and ought to be suited by this stiffer 5f. Profile [73]
