March 29th: Declared for
Warwick 5f Mf (5) |
Bred by Newsells Park Stud but did not appear to go through the sales ring.
By second season sire who made a good start with his 2yos in 2004. However,
they were not a precocious group and showed better form for 7f and the
second half of the season. He only had two uncompetitive runners over 5f
and the first win (6f) was not until June 23rd.
Dam was a winner in the US including at 7f as 2yo.
Trainer made solid start with 2yos in 2004 on his return to holding the
training licence for the stable. Debut runs tend to be competent although
with room left for improvement.
Trainer debuts are normally at Newmarket and this is a rare early run.
In summary a perfectly good pedigree which says ok for 7f at 2yo. So what
is she doing out here in March over 5f? Paddock Review should be informative
but the most likely reason is she's a small, moderate physical type and
needs to get out early to compete. But worth noting that the trainer won
an H class race with his first runner of 2004 (May) so just a hint that
he might think she can compete at this level. Profile [54]

March 29th: Warwick
Post Race |
Paddock review showed her to be small & limited and nothing like her
solid 7f pedigree nor her sire's better types. Mild each-way support from
10/1 to 13/2 in race where, as often, a number had similar support.
Travelled ok behind Line-of-3 leaders but slightly lost place at halfway
before plugging on best of the stragglers to take second. Put up a poor
performance similar to the earlier seller winner. Need to win early in
modest company. Estimate [50]

April 13th: Declared
Newmarket 5f Mf |
Seen at Warwick and looked small and limited and put up a moderate performance
there. Received each-way support and the vibes were that a better performance
was expected.
Should improve here and her experience will be a help but not an obvious
5f type and vulnerable to bigger and speedier types. Estimate
