Racing Summary
DATE PROFILE/COMMENTS
May 15th: Ripon
6f Maiden
  • Made a good price at the Doncaster St Leger sales.
  • By a First Season Sire trained by D. Loder in (Fr) and made early debut and won over 5.5f. B2yoR rated 8 of his yearlings at sales and these were mostly moderate.
  • Sire has had two previous runners in 2005 and one has been an average early 5f winner.
  • Dam had a stout pedigree but made a relatively early debut at 2yo and placed over 6-7f. She eventually won a maiden handicap off OR49 at 4yo over 12f. She has produced two tough winners including the useful 2yo Master Robbie.
  • NH trainer had his first 2yos in 2004 with the variety of expensive horses purchased by G. Wylie. He made good use of these. The earliest debuts included the better runners and two FTO winners.
  • He had his first debut on 2005 two days ago that put up a strong placed performance at 4/1.
  • Trainer runs two here and this may be the second string.
  • In summary an acceptable pedigree to produce at least an average sprint 2yo winner and could be better. Trainer's earlier debuts tend to include the better types and some can win, support in the market is usually significant.  Profile [64]
  • July 8th: York
    7f Maiden
  • Did not run at Ripon in May where the trainer's other runner ran unplaced at 28/1 and a moderate type.
  • June 23rd made debut over 6f at Hamilton. 14/1 in a moderate to average group and SP a bad sign. Allowed an easy lead and set an average pace until made an effort at the bottom of the hill and kept on reasonably but looking one paced and headed by 1f . Looked another typical owner/trainer bigger type with some length, a solid build and white socks. Estimate [63]
  • Mixed messages with his previous runs and moderate form. On the other hand he made an above average debut by trainer standards and ought to be able to improve to average maiden winner level in the season. Profile [70]
