Made a lowish price at a breeze up sale but an increase from the 1yo bid
level. Owned by Peter Savill but trained in France.
Little used sire has a decreasing number of 2yo runners in Britain and
no winner in 2004. Before that he got a few 6f+ wins.
Dam won at 2yo in France.
French stable which has run three twos in Britain in 2003-4. These three
runners all cost around 15k gns and had run one or two times in France
before their British runs.
In 2003 season Imshy finished 6th of 30 at 13/2 in the fillies' Watership
Down sales race at Ascot and Malaica finished 3rd of 12 at 8/1 in a Royal
Ascot Listed race (rating only in the 80s)
In 2004 Chantilly Beauty finished 14th of 17 at 25/1 in a Royal Ascot Listed
race.
Has run 4th (4.5f, 20/1) and then 3rd (5f, 8/1) in French maiden races.
Very similar profile to the previous British runners for the trainer. Those
with ability have run quite well and SP has been some indicator of what
is expected. In summary the form produced is probably moderate to average
but receives 11lb from the topweight and just above average form would
make her competive to scrape into the 'four'. Profile [70 + 11
