Racing Summary
DATE PROFILE/COMMENTS
March 19th: Entered for -
Lingfield 5f (AW)
Conditions Race (D1)
  • By good sire who gets winners at a range of distances although better record 6f+ and tends to need dam help to get true 5f runner.
  • First foal of a well related Dam with 6-8f pedigree who showed acceptable placed 7f form as a 2yo.
  • Trainer is notable for having his runners ready for early season debuts and professional on debut. He has entered three for this race and all were bought for prices above his normal range.
  • Trainer had 33/1 2nd in this race in 2004 with cheap buy.
  • In summary, the trainer has entered three very interesting 2yos for a race of this quality and this probably just the least obviously suited to a fast 5f race. The dam has prospects to produce a winner and sire a positive for later development. Probably professional on debut but likely to be faster types in race. Profile [55]

    Maiden - (D2)
  • Did not run in the Lingfield race either because not declared or balloted out. The trainer had the second in that race with a very fit runner.

    POST RACE
  • Looked a similar type to The London Gang for the same trainer and started at a shorter SP.
  • In paddock review a slightly better physical type than The London Gang and slightly fitter.
  • A little surprising that both of the trainer's runners didn't get into the race earlier with The London Gang getting second by running on through faders late in the race. The jockey isn't an obvious choice to get a grip on a 2yo in a sprint race but a poor run by this one anyway.
  • On physical type he ought to be similar to The London Gang.
  • Slightly tall, shallow, leggy and early type that the trainer probably has made somewhere. Fittest in the group and some signs of being worked up (fully unsheathed for e.g.). Slightly bigger and better built than The London Gang. Trainer ought to be able to get him to rate in the 60s early.
  • Paddock Review Rating 67 and Estimate [26]
