March 29th: Entered for
Warwick 5f
Maiden Fillies' (E) |
Sire has average 2yo record but can get early 5f runners and winners tend
to be competitive on debut.
Dam unraced and has sprint pedigree.
Trainer has average 2yo record and notable for runners with ability being
competent and competitive on debut. Debuts this early are rare, in 2004
he had two March debuts, one by a useful runner who placed and then was
given three months off and one by a useless runner that we never saw again.
In summary not enough information to be confident. A runner with 50-55
ability that had the trainer's standard preparation could be competitive
in a race this weak. Could be a useless to poor owner bred. Profile

March 29th :
Warwick Post Race |
8/1 on debut for a trainer who has his runners competent and fit FTO. Ran
to a low level of form within general expectations.
Outpaced and well behind the too quick pace at halfway. Improved with the
outpaced group as the leaders folded and plugged on third best under hands-and-heels
of those that missed the pace. Estimate [40]
[Update] Stewards reviewed the performance and decided that the Jockey
had intentionally stopped the filly from showing her best performance,
i.e. not only had he not pressed her hard enough but had taken the decision
to not try for a closer finish.
The filly has been banned for 40 days and will not run in that period.
The jockey got 14 day suspension and the trainer was fined £2,000.

April 7th: Declared for
Leicester 5f Maiden |
Presumably the trainer is appealing against the decision of the stewards
at Warwick? Otherwise, the filly would still be in her period of bring
banned from running.
Showed enough ability at Warwick to be a 50+ runenr and obviously could
have run to a higher rating their. Expect a better rating here and a 'blameless'
ride. Profile [59]
