Owner bred by M. Teversham who bred the dam and the one previous winner
from her foals. Both won at seller level and trained by the same trainer.
Sire has had a decreasing number of runners but can get 5f winners, including
earlier in season.
Trainer gets 2yos ready and professional on debut and better ones can win.
Normally enters runners in suitable races and has two entries in this race.
Has moderate record with northern debuts recently.
Trainer had two runners in first 2yo race of season and some evidence he
doesn't get his runners as near peak fitness on debut as he used to.
In summary the profile of a 50s, scraping into 60s minor sprint winner
at best. Trainer debuts in north suggest wouldn't be competitive against

Received a little support at 16/1 to 12/1 before settling at 14/1. Ridden
by the usual 5lb apprentice.
Ran a much more prominent and competitive debut than his trainer's other
runners in 2005. Ran towards the centre of the course and did best of the
prominent runners in a muddling race where outsiders filled the first two
places.
Race was run in a slow time and a moderate level of form. Estimate [56]

Moderate form on debut although much better than the trainer's other runners.
Looked a natural 'Petong' type sprinter.
Trainer had entered both his winners in the race and this one chosen. Trainer
has had only one runner in the race 2002-4 when he ran the useful The Lord
for the same owner breeder.
Expect good improvement but does not have the profile to be 80+ type. Penalised

Provided a rare highlight in 2005 with his debut win in a muddling race
at Yarmouth for his trainer. 13/2 and ridden by a 5lb apprentice which
helped offset his 6lb penalty for his win. He was allowed a relatively
easy lead and set an average pace and made an effort after 2f out. He kept
on solidly but was relatively easily overtaken for 2 lengths+ by Cool Creek
although he held the longer striding Salute Him. Would not expect notable

Put up a good effort at Newmarket but probably close to what he is capable
of. The trainer usually has his better runners close to their best on debut
early in the season. Set an uncontested pace at Newmarket although likely
to be pressed by Mr Rooney here. Apprentices 5lb allowance an advantage
here in a flat, straight 5f race with a straightforward type.

Drifted from 9/4 to 3/1 as second favourite with a 5lb apprentice. Set
an uncontested lead on better ground LTO and while easily beaten by a better
type (Cool Creek) he kept on well to show 70+ form. Drawn on the outside
he broke first and got into a minor duel for the lead with Mr Rooney on
this softer ground. He ran slightly freely and the apprentice seemed to
be trying to pull him back and settle him (even at halfway when Mr Rooney
went by). Stalled inside 2f out and drifted left to centre track (as he
did on debut). Tired and just plugging on from there. Ran below expectations
and no strong excuse other than possibly the softer ground conditions.

The form of his fourth last time looks better in retrospect. The winner
won a Listed race 3 days ago and the second won the Lily Agnes and was
third in the same Listed race giving weight.
Has front run on his last two runs and hung left in the later stages in
two races (probably not a problem here if they stay far side).
Trainer's runners tend to be well ahead in training conditioning in early
season and tend to show limited improvement as the season progresses and
a tail-off in form. Gives 5lb+ to the others but has a competent 5lb apprentice.

3/1f at Bath and again the jockey seem to try hard to settle him. Led and
made an effort 2f out when the field started to close up and gained a length.
Slight fade late and caught by Grimes Faith. Estimate [70]

the usual 5lb apprentice.Penalised 4lb for his previous wins.
