June 20th: Nottingham 6f Maiden	Bred by 'Darley' and owned by 'Saif Ali'. Second season sire made ok start in 2004 with 13 winners but short on quality. Ok for 5f but runners tended to be better from mid-season onwards. Has had three good 5f winners in 2005, one on debut. Dam a useful+ 8f winner in France and well related to high class 2yos Zieten (good 2yo sire) and Blue Duster (poor broodmare record). She has produced two average 2yo winners from 7f previous foals. Trainer has a moderate record overall with 2yos given the quality he usually has and mainly gets wins only with the very best of them. The earliest debuts each season can include inexperienced runs although debuts from the end of May onwards tend to competent and the better types can win. This is the trainer's sixth 2yo runner of the season and the others have been unplaced.
July 8th: Lingfield AW 6f Maiden Fillies'	25/1 at Nottingham in a race with a solid pace and the first four finished clear. Nearly 4L off the leader after 1f and 5L at halfway. Made a brief effort 2f out before fading and finished 7th beaten 10L+. Estimate [42] A below average debut by trainer standards but a Colourpoint, Arabian Sea & Ribh (the last two for the same owner) who made similar debuts in the same period have shown improved placed form S-3TO.
