  • Owner bred and probably did not go to the sales. M Channon trained the dam and the maternal grandsire and regularly uses Fraam & Piccolo for owner breds he is involved with.
  • Sire has an acceptable record with 2yos. Can get early 5f winners and has record is better in that area for having trainer M Channon supporting him. 
  • Dam won 3TO over 5.7f at Bath showing average form but deteriorated from there on.
  • Major trainer does not target debut wins but tend to get a lot of places because of the quality of his 2yos as a group. The better 2yos can win FTO on natural competence and he gets odd debut wins in weaker races. He has shown all these traits in 2005 with 6 debut wins from 21 debuts.
  • The trainer has used the race in 2002-3 to debut good 2yos for the 'Silca' owners including a debut win with a filly that won at Royal Ascot.

  • Paddock reviewed at Windsor - rated 70. Below medium size but with a good build and quite powerful behind, slightly weaker in front. Slightly short but an acceptably athletic mover. Ok to be a minor sprinter rating around 70.
  • 25/1 and moderate draw in 5 although 3 of the first 4 were drawn between 2-6. Race had a good pace and the first 5 home were in the first 5 places after 1 furlong. Broke slightly slowly and got behind the pace and never in the race. Finished 14th ridden by S. Hitchcott.  Estimate [63]
