Racing Summary
DATE PROFILE/COMMENTS
March 29th: Declared for
Warwick 5f Mf (5)
  • Relatively good price for TDC sales.
  • By second season sire that did not have a 2yo runner in the UK in 2004. Was a high class sprinter/miler including at 2yo.
  • B2yoR reviewed 11 of his yearlings at sales and most were moderate to average types and they sold averagely well.
  • This one reviewed at sales and rated 62 and was notably small and lacking range.
  • Dam was reasonably well related but a moderate athlete.
  • Trainer has a poor record with 2yos even given his approach which is to buy very cheap fillies, have them very fit on debut and then run them often.
  • This filly is different from his usual 2yo in that she cost around 10 times his normal spend on a yearling.
  • His 2yos are normally very fir on debut and often make or force the pace. How long they last up front a good indicator of their ability.
  • In summary a reasonable pedigree for this race but very small and not obviously the best use of 12k gns if you normally by 10 fillies for that amount. Likely to be at, or near, final rating on debut and prominent early. May well make first four but tend to believe there ought to be 2 or 3 better.  Profile [60]
  • March 29th: Warwick
    Post Race
  • Had the most build of the fillies but, as noted a the sales, is lengthy and short and lacking the range to move her build.
  • Trainer has his cheaper fillies ready to run to their best on debut and run prominently. Using the rule that how long his prominent runners last up front is a good indication of their ability this one gets a D-. Ran slightly freely but fading from halfway and finished last at 25/1.

  • Trainer's cheaper 2yos do not progress from debut and no encouragement that this more expensive one will break that trend. Estimate [5]
    April 20th: Lingfield AW
    5f Maiden Fillies'
  • Runs 3 weeks after a poor debut and not even showing the trainer's normal debut zip by cheaper types. Has a reasonable build but looks to lack the athleticism to use it.
  • Presume she has been switched to AW in the hope that the sticky turf at Warwick did not suit her. May well assist her movement and she should get close to a more typical trainer early run. Profile [52]
  • June 13th: Warwick
    5f Maiden Fillies
  • 33/1 at Lingfield. In touch early but outpaced downt he hill and adrift by the straight.  Estimate [17]
  • Trainer in poor form with 2yos so far. Has not looked a 5f filly and poor form.  Profile [35]
