28th May: Lingfield 6f Maiden Fillies'	Made a middling price at the Doncaster St Leger sales. It is nearly part of the rules there that trainer AP Jarvis has to buy the yearling out of the dam having raced most of the siblings. Reviewed at the sales and rated 64 with a just approaching average chance of being a 2yo winner at her level. Above average size & build and typical taller, upright sire type. A little gawky and not particularly taking. Second season sire made ok start in 2004 with 13 winners but short on quality. Ok for 5f but runners tended to be better from mid-season onwards. Has had two 5f winners in 2005, one on debut. Dam an average 5f 2yo winner and have produced a range of runners who have sold for similar prices and mostly rated between 50-75. Only one has won at 2yo although four others have placed. Has not produced a winner with her last three foals. Stable does not target strong debuts with 2yos and only one debut runner placed in 2004. Gets the odd debut winner with useful+ 2yos. His three debuts in 2005 have been poor. Profile [53]
June 6th: Pontefract 6f Fillies' Auction	Received notable support at Lingfield from 33/1 to 12/1. However, looked quite inexperienced overall and lost ground at the start. More than 4L behind at halfway but kept on quite well in the last 2f to be making ground in 4th at the finish and not looking hard pressed. Estimate [61] Unusual for a trainer debut to be backed and showed enough to suggest she would have placed if she had been more professional. Profile [66 + 7 =73]
