May 21st: Newmarket 6f Maiden	Retained for a lowish to middling price at the Tattersalls December sales. The trainer has looked after two of the previous winner from the mare. Sire has a moderate record with 2yos. Gets winners at 6f+ and these tend to be from June onwards. Dam was typically aggressively placed by 'Pattern Race' Paul Kelleway. Making a later season debut when a close up fifth in the Of So Sharp stakes. Took until her 5yo season to finally break her maiden than won two more races. She has produced three solid winners. Dual purpose stable does not strongly target 2yo racing. He runs mostly owner breds each season and gets occasional winners. Debut runs tend to be competent and within 10-14lbs of final rating. Trainer uses a wide range of courses for debuts and no indication he sends better types here (close to his training base). In summary probably an average debut but could develop into a competitive 2yo over 7f. Profile [50]
June 6th: Windsor 6f Maiden	16/1 at Newmarket in a race with a moderate pace and slow time that was barely a 1.5f 'sprint'. Looked the biggest in the group although probably a narrow & rangy type and slightly lacking build. Settled 5th after being held back when 2nd early behind the modest pace. He accepted this. 2L off the lead at halfway and had to switch left to get a run as the sprint started and made some progress to 3rd. Estimate [55] Form of the debut run is difficult to read and not a true 6f test. The two runners from he race that finished behind him have given mixed indicators. Positives in his size and maturity and showed some pace in the sprint. Ok draw in 10 and D Holland rides. Profile [68]
