Sold for reasonable price at the Tattersalls Ireland sales. Towards the
higher end of the trainer's usual price range.
Sire has a very good record with 2yos and ok for producing 5f and precocious
runners. Both his previous runners in 2005 have already won, one on debut
and the other STO.
Dam showed moderate form over sprint distances. She has produced a good
physical type who showed only slightly better form.
Trainer has a variable record with 2yos and had his best season by a long
way in 2004 when he had a good group. Runners tend to be competent on debut
and with the better 2yos in 2003-4 he has managed to get FTO wins in weaker
northern races with runners rated between 65-72.
This is his third runner of 2005 and he had had 2 debut winners by this
date in 2004. The first two runners this season have produced uncompetitive
debuts overall at 5/1 and 7/1.
In summary a pedigree which may well produce a 2yo capable of rating 65-72
over sprint distances. Trainer had a number of competitive debuts in 2004
but is slightly behind schedule in 2005. Penalised 7lb for sales price.
