April 21st: Beverley 5f Claimer	Made low price at the lesser Doncaster sales. By third season sire who made a good start in 2002 with 2yos including early 5f winners. 2003 a poor follow up season (not unusual for new sire's records to falter in second and third seasons). Sire had his first 2yo winner of 2005 with the seller winner yesterday. Dam needed 8f+ and had been a patchy producer at stud and has not had a winner. Trainer usually has his runners within 10lbs of their best rating on debut. In summary likely to be a poor type although competent on debut. Receives 17lb from the topweight colt. Profile [24 + 17 = 41]
May 2nd: Newcastle 5f Auction	8/1 in a poor claimer on soft at Beverley. Made an ok break and prominent for 2f but the first runner to 'crack' and fading badly by halfway. Estimate [0] Poor run on debut for a trainer that has his runners competent. THis is a moderate race but well above the standard of the claimer he failed din on debut. Profile [18 + 5 = 23]
