  • Made a good price at the Doncaster breeze up sale and a good increase on the yearling price.
  • By a good sire with a notably good 2yo winner to runner record. Sire get winners at range of distances but solid record at 5-6f and can also get early runners. Sire has had FTO winners in previous years but none in 2005.
  • He has already had three good 5f winners and a good 6f placer in 2005. 
  • Dam has stout German pedigree and placed over middle distances. Her previous British race 2yo placed over 7f showing 70ish form.
  • NH trainer had his first 2yos in 2004 with the variety of expensive horses purchased by G. Wylie. He made good use of these. The earliest debuts included the better runners and two FTO winners.  
  • His first debut in 2005 put up a strong placed performance at 4/1 and won well STO. The second debut was well beaten at 18/1 and the third backed at 9/4 and 3rd in a Novice race. The latest two have been well beaten at 28/1 and a drifting 20/1.
  • Trainer used the race in 2004 to introduced his first 2yo runner and his best type. He has already run 5 of his 2yos and again the best made a strong debut here.
  • In summary a solid pedigree and the sire can add the 6f speed. If the trainer has saved a better 2yo for this race again then the market should indicate this. If it doesn't it's likely to be an under 60 debut but if it's 4/1 or less then may well be 70+.  Profile [68]
