Made a good price at the Tattersalls part 1 sales. The upper end the trainer's
range (he was underbidder on a number of similarly priced yearlings in
the sales season).
Reviewed at the sales and rated 63, smallish but with good build. In proportion
and unremarkable overall.
Good sire has good record with UK raced 2yos. Gets winners at all distances.
Wins tend to start from May onwards but worth noting that most of his previous
2yos have been with 'bigger' stables (the Dunlops, Stoute etc.) who don't
start with 2yos until later in the season.
Sire has had one moderate debut runner in 2005 who won STO and the other
runner was 4th at this course.
Dam was a listed winner in Italy and has produced two 2yo winners in that
country.
Trainer does not target 2yo racing and has only had two winners 2001-4.
Debut runs are normally uncompetitive at longer SPs.
He has had two poor debuts in 2005 by cheaper 2yos.
In summary likely to be a development run. Profile [45 + 5 =50]
