March 29th: Declared
for Warwick 5f Seller |
Below average price at sales.
Second season sire made solid start in 2004 with 2yos and included earlyish
5f winners.
Dam much more stout and has moderate record at stud and has not produced
a 2yo winner.
Trainer has had poor start to season and runners not competitive in non
sellers so far. Has this one been chosen for this race because he is poorer
than the ones that have already run? Profile [41]

March 29th: Warwick 5f Seller
Post Race |
Smallish although average for the group here but notable for length and
light behind. Carried ok but not an obvious sprinter. Paddock rating 53.
Started 3/1fav (trainer's other, smaller, runner was 12/1) but never got
into the race. Arrived later on the course and didn't seem well settled.
Another poor run to add to the trainer's unusually uncompetitive start
to the season at all levels. Estimate [22]

April 1st: Declared
for Doncaster Seller |
Runs three days after disappointing debut. Was 3/1f at Warwick and fit
enough to compete. Never got into that race and this run is perhaps an
afterthought given that the trainer normally targets a debut run in this
race.
Trainer has had poor start to the season and has had two STO runs (7 and
10 days break) which have shown only minor improvement from debut.
Moderate improvement to original profile. Profile [41]

April 1st: Doncaster Post Race |
5/2f in weak field and beat the poor newcomers but well beaten by Garlogs
who had been well in front of him at Warwick. Trainer has continued his
poor start to the season and had a tailed off 3TO runner at Lingfield on
the same day.
Was claimed by trainer D Flood for £6,000 after the race and will
be interesting to see whether he runs at Wolverhampton tomorrow. Also interesting
to see whether Mr Flood can find improvement from this one. He improved
Foley Prince who he claimed from WGM Turner by a notable amount in 2003.

April 2nd: Declared
for Wolverhampton 5.1f Seller |
The original trainer WGM Turner usually has a plan with his early runners
but has had a poor start to the season. The declaration by him of this
one in this race, his second run in two days and 3rd in 5 days looked more
at the 'desperate' end of the scale than planned.
If the new trainer lets him run here he would not be out of contention
because he probably improved at Doncaster to a level equivalent with Blue
Army & Baytown Lulu who finished in front of him at Warwick 5 days
ago. Profile [42]

April 21st: Bath
5f Claimer |
Was twice backed to some extent in weak early season runs for trainer WGM
Turner who was in poor form then. Claimed by trainer D Flood and runs for
the first time for him after a 3 week break. The new trainer has achieved
a good level of improvement from the previous 2yo he claimed from WGM Turner.
Has blinkers for the first time which is a common trait with the trainer.
Receives 11lb from the topweight colt and would not need to improve much
to be competitive to win in this type of race. Might be a bit lengthy for
this uphill race though. Profile [46 + 11 = 57]
