April 13th: Declared for
Beverley 5f Auction |
Retained for minimum price at sales.
By little used sire that can get 5f 2yos.
Dam showed form rating around 60 at 7-8f and has produced a similar type.
Trainer does not normally target debut wins and most FTO runs are well
below final rating.
In summary a poor profile and unlikely to be close to whatever her 'best'
is today. Profile [18]

5f Maiden |
Non runner at Beverley (coincidentally she was drawn 2 there..and has made
a quick recovery).

April 18th: Windsor
Post Race |
Joint smallest and lightest in the field. Looked like a smaller and lighter
version of Bella Tutrice who rated around 70 for the same trainer. Ok muscle
behind but weaker in front. Might make a 'little sprinter' capable of 60+
rating.
Relatively short at 12/1 in an unbalanced market. One of the least fit
on debut and performed to expectations. Has prospects to be a minor sprinter.

5f Auction Fillies' |
Hints on debut that she might be capable of better but a poor fade and
not competitive. Drawn 6 of 16 here and receives 4lb from the topweights.
Needs to show great improvement off only a 7 day break (trainer has only
had three runners off that break or less in 2003-4 and one has placed.

May 10th: Musselburgh
5f Auction |
Had advantage of racing on far side throughout at Windsor last time in
a race where those drawn high switched to far side at halfway. Pressed
the leader on that side to inside 2f from home before a strong fade to
6th in a moderate race other than the first two. Relative short SP at 12/1
again. Estimate [31]
Did not look fit enough on debut and ran poorly. Ran only a week later
and more prominent and a solid fade. Had a proper break since. The trainer
seems to have reverted to having his 2yos develop with racing after 2003
when he had early debut runners very ready. Her overall form is poor but
she has prospects of developing further and is joint bottom weight here
because of her sales price. The trainer has had two wins at the course
(3TO & 5TO) with his only 2yo runners here in 2003-4. Profile

May 25th: Lingfield
5f Seller |
Backed to 100/30 from 4/1 at Musselburgh and finished second beaten by
a D. Nicholls newcomer. Estimate [41]
Ran in a Beverley seller on May 17th as 15/8f. Performance was better than
the final result because the race was typical for the course with small
2yos going too hard up front and setting the race up for closers. The first
and second were outpaced and off the pace in 5th and 6th at halfway and
came through together in the last furlong as the four who had pressed the
lead folded. She showed the best all around pace and went a 1L clear inside
2f out until fading in the last half furlong. Estimate [31]
