July 8th: York 7f Maiden	Made a solid price at the Doncaster St Leger sales and the trainer raced one of the recent siblings. First season sire has had 20 runners with 6 winners of 6 races, 5 x 5f, 1 x 7f. Two of the first three debut runners won and four have placed (two have won later). Older dam has produced 8 winners with 7 needing 7f+. June 23rd made debut over 6f at Leicester, 12/1, finished 5th. Estimate [65] June 30th 7f maiden at Epsom with only 3 runners. Supported in market from 10/1 to 11/2 in a period when the trainer has got his 2yos into better form and the market has been a good indicator. Looked ok size and build, bigger than Yankee George but shorter and less athletic. Outpaced in a '3f sprint' of a race by Yankee George (won a solid Novice race since) but going on at the finish.
