Racing Summary
DATE PROFILE/COMMENTS
June 3rd: Haydock
6f Maiden
  • Retained for a solid price at the Tattersalls Part 1 sales. The trainer raced the previous foal from the dam.
  • Reviewed at the sales and rated 67 with an above average chance of being a 2yo winner at her level. Above medium size and medium build and a slightly poor mover.
  • US based sire has a variable record with his British raced 2yos. In 2005 he had 5 winners from only six runners including a Group 3 6f winner and good debut winner Echoes In Eternity. He had no runners in 2003 then 2004 saw no winner from 5 runners although one made a good debut.
  • Sire ok for 6f winners in earlier season.
  • Dam very well related but unraced. She has produced a useful to superior 2yo that the trainer ran in Group races in 2004 although he did not win.
  • Good trainer that supports 2yo racing. His debut runners tend to be competent and the FTO wins come along with better runners who can win on better ability.
  • 6th runner since four early debut runners. Three of those four have won (two STO after midfield debuts) and the other disappointed as strong favourite. Two other debut in a 6f race at Goodwood before this one.
  • The latest debuts have been second in a moderate Leicester maiden after drifting in the market (beaten STO), plus two runners in a similar 6f maiden 6 days ago. In that race the 40/1 second string finished 3rd with the 3rd favourite midfield.
  • In summary likely to be just over a 70+ rated filly but liable to need the debut to develop from although her half brother placed FTO (but he was rated 90+ later). Filly versus colts. Profile [52 + 5 = 57]
  • June 17th: York
    6f Fillies' Group 3
  • Quite strong support at 4/1 at Haydock and trainer had two FTO winners on the day. Lost a length on the break and 2L behind a soli dpace at halfway. Made an effort 2F out and went clear as the pacemakers stalled.  Estimate [76]
  • A well above average debut and probably a targeted FTO win as preparation for this race.  Profile [89]
