Owner bred and probably did not go to the sales.
By a respectable but now little used sire whose record has deteriorated
as the quality of mares he receives has declined. Capable of getting winners
at 5f, including early season, with the right trainer (Kelsey Rose in 2001
being the last example).
Sire has had three poor debut runners in 2005 to date (partly because he's
cheap enough for the minor owner breeders to send poor mares to).
Dam was a very cheap sales buy and won over 8f at 2yo.
Trainer used to quite regularly get early season wins (by mid-April) by
getting 2yos very fit for the start on the season. The last one was in
2002 though and he has only run three 2yos in the last two seasons.
In summary a pedigree that might produce a 6f+ seller winner. The trainer
can 'ready one first time' to use punditspeak but hasn't had the horses
to do it with lately and they used to be very early season wins.

ok through the race, tracked the pace by 2L at halfway and kept on third
best when the race quickened without showing a change of pace.
