  • Made a low price at the Tattersalls Ireland sales.
  • Sire now in his fourth season and made good impression in 2002 with his first 2yos. After two ok seasons with less runners this season should see him with more runners in recognition of the good start in 2002. He can get early 5f types. 
  • Sire has already had a good 5f winner and a good placer as well as a batch of moderate 2yos.
  • Dam has a US pedigree and was unraced but a half sister to 9, mostly minor, winner in Italy.
  • Trainer has an average record with 2yos and has had an increased number in the last two seasons following poor seasons after a move north to his present base. He does not target strong debuts and most tend to rate in the range 35-60 with later winners spread across that range. He gets occasional debuts which tend to be earlier in the season when he runs his more natural 2yos and in weakish races. 
  • This is his second runer and the first (an expensive purchase) was a good second in a moderate race on debut.
  • In summary the pedigree and profile of a moderate sprint 2yo. However, a good sign he is in the first batch of 2yos for his trainer. This is a weak race and might be competitive to place with just expected ability level.  Profile [55 + 4 =59]

  • 7/2 on debut at Musselburgh as part of the first batch of trainer debuts which were the natural 2yos. Looked smallish but quite neat, well muscled and a little length. Broke right handed 3 widths and lost a length and a slightly slow pick-up. Recovered quickly and tracked the pace from 3rd in a moderate race with a good pace that saw the poor pacemakers fade badly. Within half a length of the lead at halfway and led before the final furlong and won comfortably.  Estimate [60]
  • May 30th Redcar 5f Novice. 6/4f and travelled well from the start as Dusty City set the pace. Again made an effort after halfway and led before the final furlong. Showed a little ability to quicken. Went clear by 6L but ridden to do it.  Estimate [85]
  • Trainer chooses to run in this lesser 5f race and his size probably limits him. Receives 2-6lb from the better winners and has shown a level of form that would make him competitive.  Profile [85 + 6 =91]
