Debut runs tend to be around 14-20lbs below the runners best rating. In
2003 and 2004 he has had a runner in the first 2yo race of the season (Lingfield
AW) and both have been backed to relatively short SPs. Both have shown
some inexperience and been below their best.

Runners tend to show their best rating STO and then often show consistent
form in many runs afterwards. The two wins in 2003-4 have both come through
sheer persistence on the 8th and 12th runs. The winners were the horses
that made their debuts in the March Lingfield race in each season.
