SUMMARY OF APPROACH TO 2YO RACING :-

Small to medium sized stable and has had an increase from one to four 2yos in the period 2002-4. These have been a mix of sales buys and owner breds (including a good winner retained for 14.5k gns).
Has a good record over the period 2002-4 with the seven 2yos including two good winners and three other runners that have placed.
The stable seems to identify the better runners and they have both won on debut and shown close to their best form on that run. The next two runs have tended to be to lower ratings.
The moderate to average types seem to have a different preparation and they tend to be well below their best form on debut and develop to show placed form 3TO.
The FTO SPs showed some correlation with performance in 2004 with the good winner starting at only 6/1 on debut when most SPs are 20/1 or longer. In 2003 the useful Boule D'Or started at 40/1 for his debut win.
