SUMMARY OF APPROACH TO 2YO RACING :-

Stable had no 2yo runner in 2002 and then three and four in 2003-4.
The three 2003 runners were two bought at the sales for 1k to 5k gns and one owner bred with a similar pedigree. These three 2yos ran 24 times in total and made around 14lbs improvement from debuts at long prices and placed on either 3TO or 4TO as they developed. They managed one minor win.
The four 2004 runners included two more expensive runners (around 30k gns) plus a cheap buy and one owner bred out of the same mare as the 2003 runner. The stable showed an entirely different approach with these runners with later debuts and only six runs in total. All runners were well beaten on debut at long prices. The two STO runs both showed solid improvement and were more competitive at their level.
