SUMMARY OF APPROACH TO 2YO RACING :-

Former NH jockey with medium to large and mostly NH stable.
Runs a small number of 2yos in each season with the highest being six in 2003 but this dropped back to two in 2004. These 2yos have been bought at the sales for prices in the range 7k to 25k gns and include those bought at the 2yo breeze-up sales.
He has not had a 2yo winner with his nine runners in the period 2001-4.
He would appear to be varying his approach to debut runs and not to have settled on a style yet based on limited evidence. In 2003 his runners were competent on debut and the moderate runners were close to their final rating on debut. His best runner rated in the 60s on debut and showed his best form rating in the 70s STO and was backed (he did not improve 3TO). In 2004 the two runners were further below their final rating on debut than in 2003 but again the best 2yo showed its highest rating STO (and ran to a lower rating STO).
FTO SPs have all been 25/1 or longer and shown no correlation to FTO performance nor overall ability.
