Made a solid price at the Tattersalls part 2 sales.
Reviewed at the sales and rated 70 with a just above average chance of
being a 2yo winner. Untypical of sire who tends to get leggy, narrow types
of varying builds. Small and heavily built with some scope to develop physically.
Rating seen as an 'at best' given his lack of size.
Average sire who gets 5-6f sprint 2yos, some precocious and occasionally
better than useful. Has a poor record with FTO runners. He has made
a slow start to 2005 with only two uncompetitive runners so far when early
5f 2yos are normally one of his better features.
Dam showed poor form but has produced two average or better 2yo sprinters.
Trainer used to have his own small stable but was appointed as private
trainer in owner J. Fretwell's new, purpose built stables in 2004.
When the trainer had his only stables the better 2yos used to rate around
60-65 on debut and improve 14lbs STO. Interesting to see his approach in
his new position.
The runners so far have shown similar improvements STO.
In summary likely to need the debut to develop to his best. Profile
