  • Made a solid price at the Goffs sales.
  • Third season sire made average start with his 2yos in 2003 but had a poor season with less runners and quality in 2004. He only ever won a 6f himself and his better types in 2003 were 6f winners. His only winner at 5f before 2005 has been in a seller on an uphill course. He has had two 5f winners in 2005.
  • Old dam is well related and a good 6f 2yo winner who trained on. She has produced a variety of winner including a high class 2yo. He only winner sine the 1995 foal has been a minor 2yo success in Italy.
  • Major 2yo trainer does not target strong debuts and FTO wins come along with the useful 2yos. He has only had a single FTO win and 12 places from 34 debuts to date (partly indicating the lack of some quality 2yos). 
  • The trainer introduced a number of useful 2yos in this period in 2004 and had a FTO winner of this race.
  • In summary a solid pedigree and the sales price indicates a reasonable physical type. Better for 6f and the trainer's FTO record in 2005 suggest he'll need to be as good as Kings Quay (his 2004 race winner) to be successful.  Profile [62 + 3 = 65]
