April 26th: Bath
5f Auction |
Resold for a low price at Tattersalls Ireland sales.
Second season sire made an acceptable start with 2yos in 2004 with an ok
number of winners although only average quality at best. He got wins over
all distances from May onwards. The two 5f wins were split as one on Heavy
ground and one in a moderate race.
Dam was a seller winner at 2yo. She has produced runners of a wide range
of abilities over sprint distances.
Trainer is notable for having his runners ready for early season debuts
and professional on debut. He has made a good start to 2005 with one win
and three places from 6 debuts so far.
In summary likely to be a limited type and professional but not up to the
quality of this race. Profile [49]

May 9th: Wolverhampton
5.1f Auction Fillies' |
25/1 and 1lb overweight on debut at Bath on soft ground in a slow race.
Broke ok and just over 2 lengths off a solid pace for the going at halfway.
Faded badly from after 2f out. Estimate [31]
Drops in race class and switches to the AW and the trainer has had the
runner-up in the race previously. Unlikely to show great improvement but
some excuse given the going on debut and improve back to original profile.

6f Maiden |
50/1 at Wolverhampton with a 7lb apprentice and left behind in a race with
a good pace. Estimate [24]
More of the same at out of her depth in a toughish maiden against colts.

June 4th: Chepstow
6f Auction |
Paddock reviewed at Leicester and a surprise and better than expected.
Above average size although just average build and slightly narrow. Good
set up in front though and some range to the movement. Solidly fit. Rated
68.
50/1 at Leicester. Raced in the centre of the course and led overall. Led
by a neck at halfway and challenged by the expensive, M Stoute trained
favourite 2f out (he looked just an average type despite his sales level).
Showed some response and went 2L clear with him inside the final furlong
and just got back in front of him. Both were run down late by a runner
who had lost 5L at the start and been well behind. Time was moderate and
just moderate form. Estimate [61]
First test of the form of the Leicester race. Looked an ok 60s rater there.
Receives 12lb from the topweight. Profile [62 + 12 = 74]

June 17th: York
6f Fillies' Group 3 |
3/1f but drifted in the market at Chepstow where a number of others were
backed. Led on the rail for 4f but never looking to be going that well.
Headed 2f out and soon outpaced and faded. Estimate [36]
Better than she showed at Chepstow but not as good as the Leicester run
might suggest. Profile [65]
