5f Auction |
Made low to middling price at Doncaster St Leger sales. He is the most
expensive in this race and carries topweight.
Reviewed at the sales and rated 69 and with an above average chance of
being competitive in early season. He was just below medium size and above
medium build. He was neat and was seen as being able to rate around 70
in early season as a strong little sprinter.
By First Season Sire that won over 6f in first half of its 2yo season.
Sire made good impression at sales and likely to get some early sprint
winners.
The sire has has made a solid start with two 5f winners in slow races early
on. He has a number of moderate types make their debuts since.
The dam showed her best form when a moderate 5f winner at 2yo. She has
produced three sprint 2yos who were a similar standard or slightly better.
Smaller trainer has only had 6 2yo runners and only one of those has had
a full 2yo 'career'. That runner was competent but around 10-14lbs below
best rating on debut.
In summary he has the pedigree and the sales review to be able to compete
well in this type of race. Limited evidence but may not have the final
'edge' on debut to beat a strong opponent with a previous run.

Has changed stables since her debut. Now runs for R. Millman
who has regularly trained 'Bathwick' prefix horses.
4/1 4th favourite of 6 at Southwell on debut. Broke slowly and a little
behind. Progressed at halfway and plugged on for 3rd. Estimate [46]
Just poor form on debut and switches to turf after a break and new trainer.
Has the physical review to show better form. Profile [62]

25/1 to 16/1 at Leicester 3 days ago in an average maiden. Swerved right
handed from the start and outpaced by 2f and never got into the race. Presumably
runs here because did not have a race at Leicester, in effect.
