May 20th: Newmarket
6f Maiden Fillies' |
Made a moderate price at a Keeneland September US sale.
Second season sire in US based. He was a a 7f 2yo and won a Group 1 10f
race in Europe before racing in the US as an older horse. He had three
British runner in 2004 that made just 5 later season runs with one placing
over 6f in late October.
Dam has a US pedigree and related to a high class 2yo winner there. She
has produced an 8f winner in France.
Trainer seems to target his better types at debuts at the major courses
(Newbury, York & here) although he does not target debut wins now.
Better types tend to be able to place in the tougher maidens. He has had
5 debut sin 2005 at these courses with two placed and three unplaced and
overall not looking that ready to compete.
His only runner in the race in the last 3 years was supported to 3/1 and
finished 4th in a moderate edition in 2004. She did not rune again at 2yo
(not uncommon for his earlier season debuts).
In summary a difficult 2yo to place but unlikely to be one of the trainer's
better types and therfore probably not a stronger debut.. Profile [62]
