PROFILE/COMMENTS |
April 23rd: Haydock
5f Maiden Fillies' |
Sold for lowish price at Tattersalls Ireland sales.
Third season sire made average start with his 2yos in 2003 but had a poor
season with less runners and quality in 2004. He only ever won a 6f himself
and his better types in 2003 were 6f winners. His only winner at 5f has
been in a seller on an uphill course.
Old dam produced a 6f 2yo as her best type but that was 13 years ago and
her recent foals have all needed 7f+ at 2yo and time to develop.
Trainer has poor record with the few minor 2yos she has run in 2002-4.
However she has already run a batch of runners which cost more than her
normal sale spend and has had a 3TO winner with the most expensive. However
on 2005 evidence debuts tend to be well below the best rating.
In summary has some prospect of being a 60+ rated 2yo but would need 6f+
and more time to develop. Trainer unlikely to have her ready to be competitive
on debut. Profile [33]

Post Race |
Opened at 12/1 and finished 11/1 for a trainer who normally has uncompetitive
debuts. Close to the pace after one furlong but had drifted to the rail
and lost a little ground by halfway. Faded strong from inside 2f out and
probably eased late. Estimate [0]

April 27th: Pontefract
5f Maiden |
Runs after only a 4 day break from a poor debut where she showed up for
a furlong but then soon faded and probably eased. Hints that better was
expected and possibly why she runs again so quickly (what was the problem
at Haydock?). Profile [33]

May 12th: York
6f Maiden |
14/1 and faded in the straight to a poor finish at Pontefract. Estimate

Steps up to 6f and filly versus colts. Outclassed. Profile [45]

June 6th: Pontefract
6f Fillies' Auction |
66/1 at York on soft ground. Set the pace for the main group (2L behind
the isolated overall leader) for 3f before fading from 2f out.
Estimate [43]
Back in a more suitable race. Profile [46 + 7 = 53]
