May 31st: Redcar 6f Maiden Fillies'	Made a middling price at the Tattersalls Ireland sales and ok considering the dam's recent record. By a First Season Sire trained by D. Loder in (Fr) and made early debut and won over 5.5f. B2yoR rated 8 of his yearlings at sales and these were mostly moderate. He has had only three runners so far and two have been a moderate to average 5f winners. Notably old dam has produced 6 winners abroad and the best was a Grade 1 winner in Brazil 15 years ago. Her most recent winners have been in Belgium & Turkey and she has not produced a winner in a major racing country since her 1990 foal. However the latest runner in 2004 showed glimpses of form for P Chapple-Hyam in the UK. Trainer made a late start to the season with his 2yos but appears to have a number of average, or better types. He has run six 2yos so far with 2 winning on debut (both winners again STO) with three others placed on debut. All have looked fit and prepared to run to a high level within their ability FTO. In summary the trainer must know how she compares to his other 2yos that have run so the market well may be informative. June 13th: Thirsk 7f Maiden - Div I	20/1 at Redcar. Lost 2L with a slow start and driven along after th first furlong/ More than 3L off the pace at halway and a slight fade and lost a couple of lengths. Estimate [50] Trainers best 2yos have shown good improvement STO but the others have been more variable with around 8lb increase at best. Stepd up to 7f at early opportunity. Estimate [52 + 5 = 57]
