June 4th: Doncaster
6f Auction |
Made a middling price at the Doncaster St Leger sales.
Reviewed at the sales and rated 59. Notably lengthy and narrow, unremarkable
otherwise. Looked more an 8f than a speed type.
By a good sire with a notably good 2yo winner to runner record. Sire get
winners at range of distances but solid record at 5-6f and can also get
early runners. Sire can get FTO winners. He has already had three good
5f winners and a good 6f placer in 2005.
Dam a useful sprint 2yo has produced one average level 6f 2yo winner who
cost less than this one.
Trainer made a late start to the season with his 2yos but appears to have
a number of average, or better types. He has run eight 2yos so far with
2 winning on debut (both winners again STO) and three others placed. All
have looked fit and prepared to run to a high level within their ability
FTO.
The trainer won the earlier 6f Auction at this course with a useful 2yo.
In summary the trainer has introduced some less competitive debuts after
the first batch of useful types. Profile [54 + 6 = 60]
