April 25th: Windsor
5f Auction Fillies' |
Retained for low price at Tattersalls part 2 sales.
Second season sire who showed more speed as a 2yo than his pedigree promised
(trained by M Channon who is notable for getting 5-6f wins with 'pedigrees'
that other trainers would not).
Made a below average start with his 2yos in 2004 with only 7 winners and
no real quality. The wins covered the range 5.7f (uphill) to 10f and he
had no 5f winner. He did not have a winner before June 30th (trained by
his old friend M Channon) which was at 7f.
Sire has had a debut winner over 5f in 2005 but in a slow race which was
not a true 5f test. To further muddy the situation he has had a 5f winner
on the fibresand at selling class.
Dam was poor quality over 5f at 2yo and produce one very poor runner.
Trainer does not target FTO wins and early debuts have not been competitive.
His two debuts in 2005 have been similar although the delayed debut of
Getbuzzin was backed in a muddling race.
Trainer has two runners in the race, the other runs 3TO.
In summary a poor to moderate pedigree and not ready on debut. Middle draw
and receives 4lb from the topweights. Profile [38 + 4 = 42]
