June 10th: Chepstow
6f Novice |
Made a poor price at the Tattersalls December sales after not reaching
his reserve with an even lower bid when first offered.
First runner for his fitsrt season sire. He made his debut in June over
6f at 2yo finishing second then ran in the 7f Chesham Stakes at Royal Ascot
two weeks later. He won over 7f at 2yo and showed his best form over 10f
at 3yo.
Dam placed over 8f at 2yo and has produced one 3yo seller winner.
Trainer has a poor record with 2yos even given his approach which is normally
to buy very cheap fillies, have them very fit on debut and then run them
often.
He has had three runners this season which have not even shown the normal
'cheap speed' zip for 3 furlongs. Only one has run more than once and very
unusual for him not to work his early 2yos hard. [Problem with the yard?]
In summary a poor profile. The trainer has run similarly poor types inthe
race before with no success. Estimate [48 + 7 = 55]
